Kevin Fredericks is quickly becoming a name you need to know. Born in El Paso, Texas and raised on military bases all over the world, Kevin attended three high schools in four years, making new friends easily with his comedic gift. Tricked by his brother into proving a childhood friend that he was funny, Kevin’s first standup comedy performance was at church for talent night. Years later, Kevin learned his brother had made the story up to get Kevin to perform.
Kevin studied acting at the University of Washington, and later, along with his brother, Jason Fredericks and friend, Anthony Davis, founded The Playmakers. Together, they have written, directed and produced eight plays that have been performed across the United States. With over 12+ million views of both his own videos and videos he's collaborated on with The Playmakers, a new Internet sensation has been born.
Kevin writes comedic material for his son, Isaiah “Zay Zay” Fredericks’ online show, “Crazy I Say” for the popular Internet channel, AwesomenessTV, as well as for Alright TV, along with his fellow Playmakers. Kevin also speaks to other comedians about utilizing YouTube in order to make a profit.
Additionally, he has traveled the nation doing stand-up comedy and performs weekly. He is a comedian who tells stories about life and his comedic styling is rare – you won't find profanity during his performances and he never writes down his jokes. When life happens, Kevin simply talks about it on stage, everything from news headlines to kids and relationships to jobs.
Kevin’s goal for every performance is to give his audience a dose of the best medicine – laughter. He says, “I want the audience to feel like for however long I'm on stage, they can't think about anything else but laughing. I just want them to sit back and laugh.”
